“For those of you classic Thrash Metal freaks out there who are unaware of Farrago, you're missing out on something folks! The band originally formed in June 2010 with an aim to fuse different genres like heavy, thrash and power metal to create their own original sound. They've also been noticed internationally as they have signed on with US based label Igzordium Records. The band recently released two of their songs "Nymphomaniac" and "Beast of Revelation". Nymphomaniac starts with a classic heavy metal riff paving way for a bone chilling growl at the end of it. Any listener, on their first time, would have expected them to continue the growling. But no, the track suddenly changes,

Interview with Shades of Retribution- The Leaders of the Tribe

Formed in January,2010, Shades Of Retribution has an old school base , deriving influences from the Assamese culture and the other regions of North-East. This being said the lyrics are in Assamese and are in context to the never ending quest for survival in this region. “Ideologies forms the concept of One Tribe and One Sound”,which the band firmly believes. If you are an old school Thrash and Death metal fan, you gotta check them out!

Take Off- Hindi Rock!

Take Off' is a 5-piece Hindi Rock band from Chandigarh, formed almost 5 months ago. The band draws its inspiration from bands and artists like A. R. Rehman, Junoon, Coldplay, KK, Rahet Fateh Ali Khan
etc. The band has won few gigs and competitions in and around Chandigarh. They have released two singles till now, 'Daaru Ka Nasha' is pretty decent song. Youth can easily relate to their music.

An awesome shredder, a down to earth man, Mihir Phukan is one of those guitarist who can freak you out with his skills even while trying the guitars and amps. Check this video out if you don't believe me! He nailed technical difficulties in it! His career started out as the lead guitarist of Eclipse, one of the pioneers of Assam's rock scenerio. He got the best guitarist awards continuously for 5 consecutive years before he left Eclipse in 2007.

Interview with Virgin Creep, an Alternative Rock band from Guwahati

Intro: Based on Guwahati, Virgin Creep's sound is a brilliant combination of Alternative metal riffs, harsh low pitched vocals and cool grooves. Influenced by almost every rock artists, the band eventually changed its genre from Metalcore to Alternative Metal. Over the short period of time, the band established themselves as one of the most exciting live performers in the town highly appreciated by the rock folks! The 90s are here! Check them out!

An Interview with Sahil Makhija!

Sahil Makhija better known as ‘The Demonstealer’ has been involved with the Indian metal scene and been an instrumental part in its development. Starting out with Demonic Resurrection in 2000 the band over its illustrious 11 career has released 3 albums and an EP, Won the metal hammer golden god award, played festivals like Inferno and Brutal Assault and been signed to Candlelight Records. He also runs Demonstealer Records, India’s only label for extreme metal along with a recording studio for local bands, the countries only heavy metal PR agency, a booking agency, a metal festival, a consultancy service as well as a heavy metal cooking show. If anyone lives, breathes and knows heavy metal, it’s him.
