Formed in early 2011 as a solo Metal project by Debojyoti under the moniker of BURN the Water, it started out with creating experimental tunes influenced by musical genius Devin Townsend.
At not even 17 years Debo with experimentation and industrial music has made a great debut with his EP "Eschatological"
which released on 28th january.
Barely fifteen minutes long ,"Eschatological" talks about the end of the world and humanity, thorugh an unhealthy, disturbing and disturbed reflection of the concept featuring a girl suffering from mental illness.
Debo, takes the listener in the abyss of a world in decline, marked with the arrival of the first title of thirty seconds of an echo indicates that the end is very close. One hears that he, like a strange voice warning us of a disaster. Then the first part of "The End" shows all the experimental aspect of "Burn The Water" that mixes a speech distress sounds twisted ,industrial and ambient. On the second part, including this time the guitars and a deathly atmosphere. The keyboards are all highlighted as voice, strange indeed, clear vocals and alternately growl with simple but effective riffs.
The arrival of "The Scene" under the guise of electronic sounds, riffs hovering well as in the mathematical mind, and voice much overwhelming.Keyboards and arrangements are dark hypnotic experiments, as strange as they are.
The presence of The Siren's Allure (Techno Metal - USA) in "The World(outside)" ends the EP. A mathcore track different from other tracks in the album characterized with the voice shouting in the general atmosphere, some riffs and growls. Its electronic sounds and melodies, twisted and unhealthy take precedence in order not to forget what world we are.
The album takes the listener in the shallows of a disturbed mind. Music is mostly electonic but innovative.Debo has composed a wonderful peice and has a great potential to release a full lenghth album.
"The Scene" and "The World(outside)" are the is a must listen from this album. This project has a great future and it is a new sound in the Indian metal scene.
